These days of living are so unforgiving Consequence is vicious, Mankind’s too pretentious Lustin sensual delicious, Lie cheat steal to get the riches Man after man britches, Times are switchin and wont quit. Stand for resistance or roll with the snowball effect when it hit If I were to compile a survivor checklist top threats would be lack of unity and loose lips They all playin it of, Everyone wanna be the boss Chokin on the bomb tryin hard not to cough Toss them acts aside, it aint no loss Reality it varies, just discard the false Now if you know the truth you know who’s been dipped corndogs, cotton candy sherm sticks wacks wick Stuck on stupid, no substance I bring more to show than dancin, prancin, romance, Out on blast shakin asses, breedin bastards gettin hotter younger faster. Last can’t get no laster Laughter to keep from cryin complex My duty’s to flex. Survivor of the cruise and the wreck. Judgement and rules stacked on me but it’s me they can’t accept A complete soul outta place outta step No home with more fullness to grow Bustin out from under the cement Reachin close to the suns glow Standin firm no knees bent power of reason, Jah know When Humanity fails to show and instead parades the ravages of the raid On a crusade to raise the uncut few who stood instead of laid. Gotta remember this is a Police State and he needs you to help him regulate No debate like nazi Germany in the ghetto hide out and wait Darkies aint united Aint neva gone’ git paid Always gone’ git played divided Unless you let me bring this change Aint gone be no riots. Full of power and grace, an immense energy emanates from IMIUSWI, felt in her recordings and especially in her live performance.

From me-
Thank you for taking the time to receive these words from the mouth, mind and heart of an authentically independent recording artist.

What I offer is sincere and solid!

This is written in the first person because this music reflects my voice and I stand behind every drop that you will get from me. And, yes, I'm the writer, without an editor, so consider any typos in that regard.

Every song has a story, from the formulation of an experience unto lyrics and structure, to the production and recording process. Through a range of endeavors in the pursuit to deliver a pure message, this self produced album re-emerges.

Lost Angels Found was first released in 2005. Downloads of the album are now available for the first time, enjoy and share!

After graduating from the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, equipped with knowledge and readiness, I compiled songs I had produced using the Sony PlayStation Music Generator and the YAMAHA Motif 6. Recorded using Steinberg Cubase and the Roland VS 2480- not lucky- but selective and studious, I executive and creatively produced my first solo album. My Dad went with me to buy my Motif 6 from the Guitar Center of Hollywood and I promised to pay him back monthly. He didn't accept my second payment. When this project came together, as any independent artist knows from experience, the pre-production process, from inspiration to creation, was years in development. I'm fortunate that Beady Beats Music stepped up to re-issue this project.

I worked with a bunch of fearless musicians, who I learned from, shared with, and continually work with today, some very special souls who transcended, and some others who faded by the wayside.

Where did the time go?

The best is yet to come.

Shaka Man, Trevy Felix, Beej and Dread I Ramirez made invaluable creative contributions to this project for which they are credited and for which I am grateful. Most of all importance and still is, was the vibes they brought to a production or recording session. R.I.P. Trevy! Boom Forever!

Jubilee Palace Studio in Los Angeles, headed by Shaka Man, generously opened the doors for me to work, and along with Beady Beats Music, it was one of the studios where Lost Angels Found was recorded.

Inspiration can not be quantified.

This here is underground, unfiltered and untainted with any pursuit beyond living and loving hip hop and all it represents.. And all it represents is a vast and mighty wealth of culture, history and mystic truths.

This album, Lost Angels Found, is IMIUSWI ABORIGINE in the purest form.

Because the playing field is leveled, there is no "one field" as in days of old, where good' ole boys, booty buddies and controllers who groveled up the ranks-(in more ways than one)- can dictate, permit or deny, what will be heard in compromise of integrity by resigned artists.

Sound Quality and artistic integrity are two different things although when they come together, our ears and souls rejoice in union.
I'm working on it!

How is the playing field leveled?

The artist/creator owns the raw material. Lyrics. Music. The basis of the asset- a song with associated publishing rights.
This asset is often leveraged against future returns in the mass market record label business.

With an ISRC code and a UPC, the independent artist can tag up our music to be directly linked to us as the artist and label, register the songs with ASCAP and Sound Exchange, Upload these tagged files to cdbaby and be selling and streaming internationally.

Of course there is so much more to it, but maybe not really. The inclination to just do your art is aided by tremendous resources.

My music has yet to reach the top of any list, but I hope people who love real hip hop and need a message in their music, get the opportunity to get with this.

I could go on, but all things need a conclusion. I invite you to listen to my music and enjoy. Seek out the accompanying literature and have a read. Get on the blog. Connect with me as I put myself here to connect with you!

With Love, yall!
and heart.
